I looked at pictures and it's gorgeous. I am just undecided - one of the main factors is the cost of living. I am a single parent w/2 kids and I can no longer make it in Florida. I am working 2 FT jobs (one in a regular school & one online). I am desperate to move somewhere that I can afford on just one job that is in an area conducive to raising a family, where I can fit in. I am considering the mtns of NC, but I have also heard that the small towns may be harder to fit in, b/c I will be a newcomer and so on. Any ideas/thoughts? If there is anyone out there who could give me an idea of what it costs to live in that area, I'd really appreciate it!!

If you want to live in a beautiful, historic area in Coastal Carolina come to New Bern. I am partial as I was born and raised here but New Bern is flanked by two gorgeous rivers, the Neuse and the Trent, and you are within 45 minutes of the beautiful ocean beaches. Ths area is growing but the growth is managed and there are numerous options if you prefer to be in a neighborhood with young families, a retirement community, historic district, or just love diversity of all ages! I am a realtor in the area so let me know if I can shed additional light on my home town! cherryhouston@century21.com
