We are looking to rent a furnished condo or house in a gated community either in Leland,or Wilmington area,we are not to familiar with the area,so any advice would be appreciated Thanks Oh yes, the reason for a gated community is because we are not familiar with the area, and would feel safer

Compass Pointe is a gated community in Leland that might have some rentals. Not sure if they would be furnished or not.

You don't need a gated community here in Leland to feel safe, IMO. And steve_d_bear is right that your only choice would be Compass Pointe if you need something gated.

There are furnished rentals in Waterford and Magnolia Greens, as well as here in Brunswick Forest.

I think you're going to have a hard time finding a short term rental in BF...a long term rental maybe. Its not a tourist destination. And I think trying to set something up a year in advance is going to be even more difficult.
