This has been the longest stretch of wonderfully cool June weather that I can recall. Lows in the upper 50's lower 60's. Highs never making it to 80. Albeit windy at times, this has been a very enjoyable June.
Yes I know it's predicted to warm back up to normal here real soon. But this June has been one for the record books!

You are right, Bill. I have heard so many people saying "fall weather," I am beginning to tire of the phrase. I agree, heat will get here sooner or later, but so far this weax has been awesome.

Until you get in the water and then maybe not as awesome. Especially early in the AM and after our low 60's nights.

Beach water temps from Beaufort to Wrightsville are around 75 degrees right now. But we've just had a week of cool northerly winds that brought it down 5-7 degrees. Tomorrow (Tuesday June 19) the winds will shift back out of the south and will blow the warmer waters back in. We should be back up around 80 degrees by the end of the week.
With that said, because our water temps have been so cool it will help to keep our air temps cool too. Later on when inland towns will be in the 90's the coastal region will be 8-10 degrees cooler.
Gotta love the water!
Bill
