We are re-locating to the NC Coast. I am in great need of school help. I will have a kindergartener and an 8th grader this coming school year so any districts will all three good schools would be very helpful. Thank you.

What part of the coast? There are good school districts in Hampstead and Newport, but that won't help if you are moving to Kitty Hawk.

Well dare county happens to have good schools as well. You can easily find areas Dare, Carteret, Craven, and Pender County school systems with superior nationally ranked schools. Other counties with mediocre to above average schools, as far as academics, but with plenty of room for individual excellence, regardless.

Here is a link to NC school report card data. It is a state site, state data. The numbers do not tell all, but they give some pretty good indication of how a school is "doing" in relation to the other schools in the district, and those in the state.

NC School Report Cards

Choose a school or a district, and then click on the "high student performance tab" If you decide on Havelock, TCMS had 56 students take high school algebra (this year, not yet on report card), and had 100% pass, for high school credit. The state average is in the high 70's, so....that tells you something.
