Hi,

I'm moving down to Wilmington for a couple of years, and I need to transfer to a local bank. Does anyone have any suggestions of local banks around the area that are reliable before I start looking? I'm not big on banks who are national. I like banks that are more independent, or have branches in the state. I will be coming from a bank who owns three to four branches in my area, so I'd like something like that.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

BB&t is a large bank but they treat you like a real person. There are also 3 branches of Corning federal credit union which is open to the public. Also a good choice
