Default Bird Island

Just wondering, does anyone here ever treck over to Bird Island for sunbathing or activities? I've noticed a surprising amount of foot traffic over there recently..you could once go there and be pretty much alone, nowadays you'll find some small crowds there sometimes, of course, it always depends on when you happen to be there, by luck.

I haven't set a toe on the island in about 2 years, wondering how much it's even changed in that short time. Last time I was there it was really surprising to me how much the beaches are changing on the coastline, some of the waterways are filling in, you can't take boats to some of the places you could before, and things like that. One day Bird Island is going to completely just be part of the beach, it's already filling in there, for a long time you've been able to walk there at low tide, etc...
