Where along the NC coast are you planning to go? The fishery here is very diverse. It would help to have an idea of the area and type of fish you are thinking about.

Bucku-The best advice I could give you for that neck of the woods is to visit Tex's Tackle in Wrightsville. Tex Grissom is the owner and knows the fishing reports for Wrightsville on down to the mouth of the Cape Fear. By the way-Flounder fishing has been very good in places like Snow's Cut and out of the surf at Carolina Beach.
Here's Tex' Tackle web site: Tex's Tackle and Bait| Wilmington, NC Shimano Penn Star Accurate Daiwa Blue Water Candy St. Croix Stella Tiagra Calcutta But be sure to stop by for first hand info.
