We have an opportunity to move to Washington, NC. I was rasied on the Chesepeake Bay, worked crab and fishing boats when i was a teenager then grew up and work moved me from the east coast in the late 80's and now living in the mid-west. The opportunity has popped up in the Washington, NC area...and doing research on the area it would give us the small town living which we are use to (we live in a town population 2,500 curently) plus we would only be 20 minutes from Greenville if we needed anything a larger city has to offer..(our larger city around here is the size of Washington, NC about 12,000 pop and thats 30 munites away!) So the question is....we have one teenager who is a freshman this year...how many High Schools are in the area....what are they like and is anyone of them better then the other? I see from the posts that there is not much for younger people to do in the area...however anything outdoors such as fishing, crabbing, boating..participating in sports, maybe a part time job... would be better then what we have in our small town.....
Looking forward to getting back to the east coast!!
