Default Tell me about Cherry Point/Havelock

I may be relocating to this area with a new job and know it's a "Marine" town, but am interested in knowing of nice areas to live within a 30 minute commute. I do a lot of outdoor things like fishing, bicycling, hiking, camping. I would appreciate any information.

Default Hmmm...

Not sure what your budget is like, but the things you like to do are abundant in and around Havelock. You may want to check out New Bern, Newport, and Morehead City. You may find your best home prices in Havelock and Newport though. Hope this helps!

Benji

Default Expensive?

I'm not sure I understand. Is that an expensive area to live?

Will,

Both Carteret and Craven counties have alot of outdoor stuff to do. Carteret is closer to the ocan and great fishing, and you can camp on the barrier islands as well. Craven is farther inland and has wide open spaces. It's also closer to interstates and larger cities for shopping.

The average sold price of a home within the New Bern city limits over the past three months was $159K. But that maybe a bit misleading. The average sold price for the New Bern area was $210K.
Let me know if there is anything else I can do!
Take Care,
Bill
