I'll be in Wilmington over spring break and I was wondering if it's usually warm enough in March to just hang out on the beach? Thanks!

If you get a really good day, yes...keep in mind the water is still really cold, so even if it is 80 in Wilmington it may feel like 65 on the beach.

Better have a wet suit if you are going in the water...your best bet is to go to the beach in regular clothes, like jeans and a long sleeve shirt and just hang out.

The weather in March is really variable. Today it is cold enough for a jacket, but next week it could be in the 70's. I wouldn't expect to get a sun-tan or go swimming, but you could certainly walk or have fun at the beaches.

It's been cold this year. Other years some of my nieces and nephews went swimming in March (not me!). It changes.
