What is the festival about? I cannot remember the name but it has to do with christmas. There have been so many other festivals lately too.

The best way to keep up with Swansboro is with their hometown newspaper: Click Here

It is hard to attend all of the festivals. You would need more daylight than we have this time of year.

The event in Swansboro on November 23 is the annual Flotilla.

It is a parade of boats decorated with lights. This is the official link to the event.

The next day after that is the Emerald Isle Christmas Parade.

This past weekend was the annual Pig Cook Off and Crafts Festival.

The eastern NC style barbecue was very good.

Of course the biggest festival was the Mullet Festival.

I usually write about the upcoming festivals on my CoastalNC.org homepage. Most events I'll also post a link to some pictures.

You can also pickup a free copy of Dropping Anchor or download one. They usually have a very good list of events and often stories about them.

This weekend is Shopping by Candlelight in Swansboro.

This year's event was held on probably the hottest day in June. We had wind for three weeks before the festival.

The day of the festival there was no wind.

It is one of the hazards of booth duty.

I thought I was going to cook in our booth.
