I want to put a hot tub on the side of our beach front house in Topsail beach. I know I will need a CAMA permit. But I can't figure out what the requirements will be. If it sits at/on ground level do I still need a wooden pad/deck? Can it sit directly on the sand? If it needs a piece of decking, can the decking just sit directly on the sand (i.e. no posts)? Can I just fill and empty the tub with a hose or will I need exterior plumbing? I can't see running plumbing to it. That seems silly. We have hot water already running to an outdoor shower through plastic piping, so couldn't we fill it with an attachment for a hose on that line?

Anyone have a similar situation or know anything about this?
