I'm an avid photographer, and am planning on doing a photoshoot this week with someone. I'm looking for "artsy" places to take pictures of somebody. If you don't know what I mean by "artsy," I've already begun compiling a list of places:

-Water St. Parking Deck
-Cape Fear Community College Parking Deck
-Downtown Alleyways
-North Downtown Bridge (beside CFCC parking deck)
-USS North Carolina Battleship
-Forest Hills Train Tracks
-Abandoned Meat Packing Plant in Navassa

I need more locations, does anyone have suggestions?

Also, does anyone know anything about the Meat Packing Plant in Navassa? Any laws on going to it, as in will you be charged with trespassing for going to it, etc.? If anyone knows anything about this or anything about the plant, please let me know.

I will just endorse strongly the North Carolina. You could do an entire album there, with a variety of moods, scenes etc. How about UNC Wilmington?

Hope you will post a couple of us to see how you did.

I wouldn't describe much at UNCW as "artsy"....it's really just a run of the mill college campus. The architecture is nice, but nothing out of the ordinary.

CFCC's new building "Union Station" is a much better example of something of significance, although the steel makes it look much more modern.

The Water Street bricks near the Dock St intersection always felt artsy to me.
