I think that's an unrealistic price, but I don't know everywhere. I would expect a good room that close to the beach to be about $200/night, with a three night minimum.

However, there's an economy place near me in Surf City for $140/night, the Sea Vista: http://www.seavistamotel.com/reservations.php I also recommend Tiffany's Jr suites at $149/night. http://tiffanysmotel.com/rates/

There's also the Seascape with a few rooms at $90-95, but I don't know if I would recommend it: http://www.seascapemotel.net/

Good Luck!

I'd recommend just finding a room in Wilmington for that price...its not far from most hotels to a few different beaches.

You might check to see if you can rent a house for 4 days. If a house isn't rented some owners might be willing to charge a lower rate if offered, especially off season.

Try Hotwire and you may find a place but pay attention to the map. Then go to Priceline and bid for 20 dollars lower and it may get you a better deal.
You might end up resorting to North Myrtle since it has a slew of skyscraper hotels or look up motels in that area too.
Have a fun 4th.

You can check out Ocean Crest Motel on Oak Island. I don't know if they have anything available, but you can try.
