I just know they have tightened up their academics over the last few years. A number of my daughter's friends did not get in with some pretty good grades and scores.

yes he is doing the Transfer program after he receives his AS..but that is what Im afraid of...When I spoke to Admissions they had said as long as he is pulling a 2.7 in CPCC and meets the other requirements which he will, he shouldn't have a problem However who I guess we wont know until he apples..and at that point I have to hope he can get in otherwise its FAU back in Florida however UNCW is now his 1st choice.. We are taking a campus Tour in December for UNCW

Thank you

The campus tour is a hike. Wear proper shoes. Generally transfers are relatively easy, but uncw is pretty popular. Good luck.

I would suggest better than a 2.7 since he will need to compete against the other transfer hopefuls. As they certainly told one of you, acceptance to the college does not mean program acceptance. Transfer students are carefully considered and not everyone is accepted. Good luck to your son.

Yes the Athletic Program he won't get into from what I have been reading, but the Exercise Science Degree program is no different than the the 2 other schools he is looking into..The difference is at FAU he will get right in on a transfer program with a 2.5 or better and and FIU the same, UNCC has a sister program with CPCC in which he will have 2 advisor's and the application process is pretty painless they have an Exercise Science Program too not the greatest but we will see what happens...
