Happy3 The information that you have been given by everyone is quite accurate.

When we decided to move here 10 yrs. ago, I too was torn between Farmville & Winterville. I absolutely love Farmville with it's Mayberry feel. GA is correct. It is a tough nut to crack if you are not from there. It is a very close knit community and don't really welcome newcomers with open arms. True story---2 yrs. ago we went to the Farmville Christmas parade, and while speaking to someone was asked, "where you from"? When I said Winterville they asked, "no where you really from you sound like a Yankee". Aside from that, Santa Claus had a bit much to drink, scared the children and they were screaming. My husband said that would be the last time we go to the parade. But, I still do love Farmville, our Dr.'s are there. When I told my friend who is born and raised here what happened at the parade her reply was, "what did you think it's Farmville."

What you have been told is true, get the real feel of the area and rent first.

Thank you so much. Everyone is helping a lot! And Kelsie, that story is hilarious. Thanks! I was born in the north so I would probably be another one of those "yankee's". :-)
