My son and his family want to move back to North Carolina and live at the outerbanks. They certainly cannot afford a $500,000 home on the beach, but does anyone know if there are any apartments available?

There are plenty of 3 bedroom homes available starting at around $230,000 for something halfway decent in the KDH,Nags Head area.

Now is a great time to find year round rentals too,$900-1200 will get you in a 3br 2 bath home in the KDH Nags Head area. The local paper is full of them.So many people have left the area due to the slow down in construction, but many of these deals will be gone by April, when the seasonal business pick up.

Here's a couple of sites that specialize in long term rentals.
