This morning’s article talks about the CSX hub that’s being built in Rocky Mount and it’s future impact on Wayne County, including potential development at the I-795/NC-222 interchange in Fremont. I-795’s extension to I-40 could also be accelerated due to the CSX hub.
Looks like there’s a new vacancy at North Plaza shopping center on Spence Avenue. Dollar General recently moved out and built a new store on Ash Street near AutoZone. Can’t say I blame them. The North Plaza buildings needs some serious TLC. Aside from Food Lion moving out and Ollie’s moving in, the place looks the same as it did 15+ years ago.
