One thing you find entertaining is the assortment of miscues and errors seen nightly on the local news broadcasts...WWAY and WECT. At least once per broadcast...sometimes many more...the video doesn't match the story...the cameras cut to the wrong anchor...and the small talk chit-chat between transitions is plain weird.

With a market size of 136...you have two demographics in the business...the old smucks just hanging on...ie George Elliott and Francis Weller...who could never cut it big time and don't care anymore anyway and the folks who are just entering the business who don't know any better.

As the old saying goes...laughter is the best medicine...and if you happen to be stuck here...watching a broadcast or two can certainly lift your spirits.

I have to agree with you here. Both channels often seem to have problems with the audio when filming outdoors, also.

Have you ever heard Frances Weller say "Colorado?" Hilarious! And don't forget Bob Townsend in the early morning. I often find myself yelling "WTF did he say?" at the TV as I sip my morning coffee.

Yes, I must agree with you guys. As we southerners say "bless their hearts"...I think they really do try. At least we can get a good chuckle out of it though
