My wife and I currently live in Wilmington, but we will be moving in the next few months to a different part of the Wilmington metro area. There are currently some nice houses listed for sale in Leland, but I have heard the occasional horror story about the morning traffic going from Leland into Wilmington, as well as the rush-hour traffic back into Leland in the evening.
My wife works near downtown Wilmington, so commuting from Leland to downtown via either the Holmes Bridge or the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge would be necessary every morning. During which hours of the morning is the Leland-to-Wilmington traffic at its heaviest point, and when in the evening does the Wilmington-to-Leland traffic reach its heaviest point? Leland seems pretty nice and is very close to Wilmington geographically, but it's a deal-breaker if the should-be-10-minute commute is going to be a slow-moving, hour-long traffic jam every morning and every evening. Any advice is appreciated!
