Default Wedding spots

My daughter got engaged over the holidays! YEAH! Now she thinks she wants to have the wedding at the Bellamy Mansion in Wilmington ( I hear my pocketbook groaning at the mention of mansion)!
Does anyone know anything about it? I am a native NC gal, lived here about 22 years and know most of the places in Cary and Raleigh for weddings, and we love Wilmington, but I do not know much about Bellamy. We are going to the wedding show in Wilmington Sunday.

Mom is excited!! Wedding is in October I think!

Thanks for any info!

Mary

Default I got married in Sept in Wilmington

Hi there:

I got married in September in Wilmington and we had our reception at the Balcony on Dock. I believe they are holding an "open house" this weekend too (maybe Sunday). They are terrific to work with and I would recommend them to anyone. I also considered them to be VERY reasonable compared to some other places. If you need anymore recommendations or have any other questions, I would be happy to help...just send me a direct message.

And, BTW, Congratulations!

aww yay Bellamy Mansion! I am from Wilmington and LOVED the bellamy mansion, if I wasn't so worried about some family members traveling I was going to have my reception there also. One thing, parking is difficult, since it is downtown, also I do not think you can have food inside the actual mansion, but only outside on the grounds. Otherwise, its going to be a gorgeous wedding for sure.

You probably have already checked this out, but thought i would put it anyway just in case The Bellamy Mansion Museum of History & Design Arts - Wilmington, NC

I am getting married in November (hopefully) if you have good ideas for the Raleigh/Cary area send me a private message if you don't mind
