Hello, my family and I are moving to Hampstead, NC from PA in June and I am looking for recommendations on pediatricians, family doctors, etc... Does anyone have any reviews on either Seaside Pediatrics or Coastal Pediatrics? Also any input in general about the area is appreciated. We are very excited for our move.

Another thing is we want to join a community pool. Would you recommend Olde Pointe Country Club or Belvedere Plantation?

Lastly, whats the best seafood restaurant in the area?

Thanks

We haven't found it yet, although we like Daddy Mac's in Surf City which has a nice oceanfront patio. We also like Sears Landing in Surf City for grilled combination platters.

You might want to search the forum for recommendations in Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington. BTW, The Blockade Runnner is the only place with lobster on the menu which I have found so far. Plus, some folks recommend the Dock Street Oyster Bar in downtown Wilmington.

BTW, most of the beach places serve battered and fried seafood because that is what North Carolinians expect out of beach food. Personally, I find it heavy and un-imginative. I would love to find a decent Mediterranean seafood place, or a place that served decent Maryland-style crab-cakes.

I take my children to Carolina Pediatrics in Wilmington and I LOVE them! They also have a Hampstead office. Here's their website: https://www.carolinapedswilm.com/
