We're looking at relocating to Hampstead and my job requires high internet speeds. Can anyone tell me the internet providers in the area and/or if you get high speed or what speed you get?

Thank you so much!

I don't know the numbers, but Time-Warner is a prominent cable company. We pay $40/month, and the speed is adequate for our normal household needs.

There is no fiber-optic service. One friend uses HughesNet, but she is out in the counntry.

I think Charter/Spectrum serves Hampstead and Topsail.

Was Uverse the best deal? Do they offer a Internet only option? I'm a cord cutter and not looking to be forced into a cable contract.

Thank you very much! I had never heard of U-Verse -- I'll make sure to check that out. We're hoping to be there the end of July so if you wouldn't mind letting us know how well it goes I'd really appreciate your feedback!

Better check that UVerse speed. I was told a 3 Mbps speed. If you stream at all that won't be enough. Charter is the cable internet provider for Hampstead that I found with my research.
