I will be relocating to the Wilmington area in the next six months. I have 2 children in elementary school. I am looking for a safe area with good schools. I need a 3 bedroom apartment that is no more than $1450/month. My lifestyle is essentially work, graduate school, and time with my kids. I don't really have a nightlife that does not include parenting, lol. I am a single parent. I do like taking them to their activities like gymnastics, and we also like to swim and visit places like the aquarium.
Can anyone recommend some areas and complexes for me to start looking into?

Thus far Hawthorne at Murrayville appeals to me but I know nothing about that area.

The Murrayville Elementary School rates well, and the area is supposed to be safe. You can search the forum of past comments.

That one is at the end of the airport runway and probably will have noise. Although I can't make recommendations, here's a map of apartments in the Murraysville area: http://bit.ly/1BawwoG

Thank you for the info. I agree that Murrayville seems like a nice area, safe, and well rated schools. Bonus is being only 17 minutes or less to Wrightsville Beach, of course.

Hawthorne is extremely well rated and their Facebook page indicates a strong regard for their residents which is nice. I can deal with noise, although a friend told me it is also near a busy highway. Only downside other than that is no w/d in unit.
