Can anyone recommend a quality, reasonably priced HVAC repairman in Greenville? My unit is blowing room temperature air, but the outside fan isn't operating. With this weather, I need to get it fixed ASAP! Thanks.

I have two broke. Had to buy window units from Lowes this morning. Early!

Carolina Comfort Air was highly regarded on Angies List and responded very quickly. Unfortunately, they could not do installation until early next week. Felt very positive about the phone work and the fellow who came out to do the estimate.

Wish they could have installed sooner, though, but we just could not hold out without the window units.

Good Luck. It ain't no fun

FYI for future reference if someone finds this thread in a search:

Called ComfortMaster, but they said it would be two days before they could perform the service. They have a small crew. Called Delcor and they came later that day. The technician told me that they will come same day, and they will not charge overtime to the customer for work done after 5 PM - if the customer calls before 5 PM. Other companies will charge OT for working after 5, regardless.

I would also opine that trying to get an air conditioner fixed in a heat wave is like trying to get a life boat on the Titanic. Demand way outstrips demand.
