Just a rough estimate here, but, would suspect the distance to be about the same as from Richmond to DC, traffic in Raleigh is probably worse.

where in DC are you? I moved to wilmington from DC. I went to school here in the late 90's and moved back here two years ago. to be honest, I don't like what I am seeing. so many people have relocated here since I lived here in the late 90's that this place is starting to remind me of what I was trying to escape.

I have to agree with you somewhat, because there are sooo many people moving here. I lived up in Fredericksburg, Virginia, so I understand where you are coming from. Wilmington is always home to me no matter what.

Where abouts are you in Wilmington? How would you think it would be for a young 20 year old? How are the beaches? Stuff to do? Thanks

I am in the city of wilmington. not right on the river, but I live near 23rd and chestnut for anyone who knows that area. I am sure it would be great for a young 20 year old. there are things to do. beaches are nice but they get so crowded in season, most residents try to avoid them.
