Good Morning,

I recently moved to CB from downtown Wilmington and as much as I love my current vet - Wilmington Animal Healthcare - a 40 minute drive with a cat that hates the car probably isn't reasonable. I would rather find something on the island or even just over the bridge.

Any recommendations based on personal experience?

Thanks in advance.

Port City Animal Hospital on Masonboro Loop Rd is very, very good and not too far from Carolina Beach. I'm afraid I don't know anything about any vets on Pleasure Island.

We take our dog to Dr. Dugan at Coastal Carolina Animal Hospital. He's great! They're located just south of Monkey Junction, between Goodwill and the Go-Gas station on Carolina Beach Road.

Thank you for the recommendations. I'll look into both of these. I don't mind a short drive but the drive all the way out to Gordon Road was just a little too far.

I've heard good things about Needham Animal Hospital on 17th/College, which is about 15 minutes from the bridge.
We use Leonard Sykes which is about 10 minutes further, considering the traffic.
