Default Film Industry In Wilmington
I've heard that Wilmington is the Hollywood on the east coast. I know there is a considerable amount of filming done in the area with shows such as One Tree Hill and Dawsons Creek. And I know there have been a number of films shot in the area. For someone trying to get into film production, does anyone know of production companies in the area? I am thinking that everything is shipped in from California and nothing is really based there. Does anybody know of some production studios or how to go about getting into the industry? I have considered moving to the LA area but the idea of Wilmington is very appealing.

What about a agency for childrens talent/acting - any hints on who is the best or most reliable? Who has the best reputation? Thanks ~

Yes, is there anyone out there who has a child that has done or still does some acting? My son did a bit of acting back in NY & has asked to start up again in NC. I'd be interested in hearing some feedback on this as well.

Finncannon and Associates is the best casting company in Wilmington. Mark Finncannon runs his own company located on Front Street. I did two films from them myself.

I don't really know anything about the film industry in Wilmington but I would like to know how to apply for a job in wardrobe or costume design. I know that there is a Screen Gems studio but there is not much information. Does anyone have any ideas?
