I am moving to Wilmington in October for my new job with my twin 3 year olds. I currently live in the DC area and I'm headed to Wilmington over Labor Day to look at rentals and preschools/day cares. I am looking at the following areas and day cares, if you have any feedback I would appreciate it! I will be working near the intersection of Carolina Beach Road and Independence near Echo Farms, and I want to keep my daycare/work commute under about 20 minutes while also living in a decent area.

Areas:
Holly Tree Elementary area
Echo Farms area
Monkey Junction
Pine Valley
Seagate

Daycares I am visiting and considering:
Child care network 158 (Flint Drive)
Child Care network 83 (41st street)
Child Care network 159 (Pax Natura, Wilshire Blvd)
Southwestern preschool educational center #2 (S. 17th)
Kids and Co Myrtle Grove (S. College road)
Kids and Co (Newkirk Ave)

I can vouch for the following pre-schools...

Childrens Learning Center...there is one on Darlington that is good. If you are in the medical industry, there is one specifically for that industry on Medical Center Drive.

First Presbyterian Church...this is downtown, but its not that hard to use Carolina Beach Rd to get there. Big school, but fills up.

St James Episcopal Pre-school...this is adjacent to First Pres and is a well run day care.

I know plenty of people that drive across town for these 3 Pre-schools.

Thanks. Do you know if those are half day preschool or full day? I should have mentioned I will be working full time and need a full day program.
