I have only seen the aerial view, but we did consider Chocowinity for retirement. The Moore's Beach area seems very nice and quiet. I hope you like the mobile home.

As long as you don't mind a slow pace of life, and I do mean slow, you won't mind Chocowinity/Washington. What little crime there is is of the petty variety. Violent crime is almost non existent. The schools are ok, the shopping is decent. The water provides a lot of activities including boating, fishing and stuff like that. Washington has a fairly active waterfront with events occurring all summer long.
