Hi - wondering if anyone knows why dogs are now banned from the outside deck? Lots of places in Southport to bring them but nice to stay in SJP.

Can't say for sure but recently there have instances of dog bites. In addition, SJP is now included in the area serviced by county animal control and SJP has strengthened its stance on leash laws etc to conform to county standards.

All dogs should be leashed and owners should be responsible to keep them under control. It's a shame that everyone is punished for a few irresponsible owners.
