" getting really tired of how they treat current customers."

I have had just the opposite experience with Verizon.

I have had "cell" phones since they had to be hard wired to the car's battery and an additional antenna was required.

Sorry you have had a bad experience with Verizon but if you think all the others, I am NOT knocking any of them, are going to be perfect, you are sadly mistaken.

"ATMC probably wouldn't want to put their name on something bad in their home area."

I think you are very naive.

ATMC cable TV service is one of the worse I have ever had, and I have had plenty.

ATMC "stores" might as well close down for the poor service they offer.

They are a co-operative which is just like a utility and act like they are the ONLY game in town.

T-mobile service is actually really good IN Wilmington, 4g LTE and fast. But you get down onto pleasure island or up into Hampstead and topsail and the data service suffers dramatically. The phone service is still good if that's all your concerned with. But don't be googling stuff while traveling or you'll be upset. The bandwidth T-mobile uses is also not the best for going through buildings, so if your around a bunch of 3 story beachhouses and your in the middle or the end away from the cell tower there's no signal. Wifi calling fixes that issue but not everywhere has wifi.
