can anyone tell me about jobs in beaufort,nc? im experienced in warehouse work and restaurant. any advice or companies hiring would be appreciated! thanx!

Pretty much all that you've found out about MC applies to Beaufort, too--the newspaper, the Google search I mentioned...Beaufort is just across the bridge from MC...and the help wanted ads would be listed in the Carteret News Times. You could check with the Employment Commission, too, but their jobs would be for immediate openings...

Not too many sizable companies here in Beaufort, there's Atlantic Veneer (look on their web site for jobs) and Parker Marine, boat builders (ditto). Jarrett Bay Boat Works has an assortment of marine related companies there, probably best to call on them when you arrive.

Restaurants? Lots of good ones...but again, best if you call on them in person.

When are you coming, have you decided? Eight months or sooner?

thanx dolphin....well im looking to move to the area as soon as possible for when my wife finishes school in may. so if i do find something good now i would definetely go while she stays in asheboro. i have my immediate family in wilmington, so i would commute if had to until we both get moved to the area.
