On our way to SJP Aug. 5-12. Meeting with builder and designer on Tuesday and Thursday. Also for a rental from mid October until home is completed, hopefully by April. Received some responses via "Just Judy" which is great. Would love to meet up with any of you who are interested. Let me know!

Communication with Logan Homes is routine and nearly always includes pictures which is most helpful since I am building remotely.

Gatorbyter thanks for the pictures, they are very helpful! My wife and I are in the process of buying a lot in Woodlands Park and plan on building a house with a crawl space rather than slab. One issue I have with having a crawl space are the steps needed to get to the first floor (no problem now but we are not getting younger). It looks to me that you solved that problem by building up the soil up to floor level. Was that costly or an issue when dealing with HOA approval?

On a side note thanks to everyone on this blog, you have made the decision to buy in SJP much easier.

@chevy314

As I understand it, the elevation of the home is the same whether it is a slab or crawl space. The foundation slab structure is 24" above the elevation of the property. There are 3-4 stairs at the front door and rear door.

Here are two pics from a similar home, also on a slab like mine will be:

Might the groundwork be the start of The Charles?
