Any recommendations for nice furniture places in Southport area to furnish my home in a costal motif? It won't be long now till I go on my shopping spree.
Been lurking on this board for a few days now. We bought our lot on Moss Hammock Wynd last summer. Our house in Raleigh goes on the market next week. As soon as it sells, we start construction. Hopefully it will be in this millenium. Would love some feedback on builders. Also, how is the rental market at SJPP.
There are villas and townhomes available for rent. Some of the posters here have rented temporary places while their homes are being built. If you search the SJP website for "rentals" you will see villas for sale which they call suitable for rental.
Regarding builders, you might search for comments by Stonecreek67 and others. It might also help if you specified whether you want an off-the-shelf plan or a true custom plan, and a price range.

The good news is that the real estate activity in St James is moving in a positive direction. Here are the most recent facts
For Single Family Home Owners: There are currently 88 homes on the market, averaging a list price of $161 per square foot; average time on the market is 274 days. In 2012, 73 homes were sold, averaging $141 per square foot; already this year 9 homes have sold and the average cost per square foot jumped to $147. There are 13 more homes under contract waiting to close, all very encouraging statistics for homeowners in St James.
For Condo Owners: In 2012, a total of 17 condos were sold representing properties in: Marsh Winds, Club Villas, Ship Watch, Lakeside Commons, and Harborwalk. This should bode well for the 30 condos that are currently for sale.
For Lot Owners: There are currently 286 lots for sale with 12 lots already sold in 2013 and an additional 14 under contract. Last year, there were 116 lots sold. Activity continues to be dominated by the lower-priced properties. Tell your friends and family that it is a great time to buy a lot here while the prices are still low.

Are there different golf memberships? For example-can you join one club or is it $9,000 for a couple with no other options?
