My wife and I. Both retired, easygoing, looking at Wilmington as it is close to the ocean, but, far enough away that real estate can be affordable. Budget of 250k + or -, would like a little elbow room, and a neighborhod not overrun with young families/children. As I indicated, we are seniors and would like to be around the same, as much as possible. Also, would appreciate any links that could shed some light on the arts/music scene in Wilmington. Neither of us care for large concerts/crowds anymore, but, do enjoy live music from time to time. Saltwater fishing is a must for us, so any links that would steer in that direction would also be appreciated. Thanks much, RK04. As an aside, are there any archery clubs in the area?

You might like Lincoln Park, Seagate, Piney Acres in the 28403 Zip Code. You will find older ranchers in that price range, some with as much as a half acre.

It is centrally located, near everything and affordable. Many of the homes have been updated...there are some children but not a ton and still a lot of retiree's.
