While the flooding in eastern NC is beyond awful, in many ways it is abstract. Too awful to get your arms /mind around.

The Neuse Sports Shop, in Kinston, a major waypoint on the way to the coast, from not only North Carolina but from the US, has flooded.

If you have one "outdoor bone" in your body, and you have come down US 70 to the coast, I am sure you have stopped there. Unlike so much that has flooded, I have been there, many times, now it is flooded.

Apparently, due to Herculean efforts, and back breaking work, the merchandise was moved out, but still major flooding. More info is on their FB page

Just goes to show that the flood does not care who or what is impacted.
