I'm looking for a good beach town. Florida is hurricane country, and California is way exspensive (but haven't totally ruled it out) so I'm looking for other areas. Any suggestions for good Carolina Coast towns?
I think it depends on what you want.............there is wilmington, it has at least one university (university of north carolina at wilmington), relatively big town with a rather large transient population (from students to summer beach goers). Then there are towns dotted all along the carolina coast which are much smaller and have less "income potential" outside of the typical tourist things (emerald isle, holden beach, topsail island, sunset beach, kure beach, etc). I think, the place with the best chance of finding a new job would be wilmington, it definitely has an beautiful historic area, and it is a nice town to live in.
