Hi Guys, thanks again for all the feedback! It really is helpful to hear all aspects so I genuinely appreciate it! I've worked in everything from " shot and beer " bars, to high end craft cocktail/bourbon joints. It sounds like my greatest challenge may be the competetion for work, but hopefully it won't be a terribly dry stretch. My greatest concern was encountering a rough economy like I saw in Pittsburgh, but it sounds like most of the coastal cities are in much better shape than that. If any servers or bartenders have any additional advice or info they'd like to share, I'm all ears! So thanks again!
That's great to know! Are you in Wilmington, or one of the other larger cities? Do you find its hard to find full time work (4 shifts or more)? It seems like alot of city bartenders have to take a few shifts at a few different places, where as in the suburbs it's more normal to find one full time job...That's my experience anyway. I didn't know if its the norm to take on 2-3 jobs for the sake of rounding out a schedule. Also, do you mind my asking - what type of place do you work in?
