Hi There,
I was wondering if anyone could chime in with some opinions about Wilmington neighborhoods? In an ideal world, we would want a moderate home (200-250k), with a half acre lot or more. We aren't fond of congested sub divisions, and if there's a possibility of finding a home that backs up to woods or a state park, that would be perfect. But like every wish-lister, we would like to be within half an hour of the beach and the city. It seems like people have suggested that Kings Grant is kind of....sketchy?? I am wondering if that really is the case, in that it appears to be one of the few neighborhoods where we might be able to find what we are looking for....Would love to hear some opinions on it, and any other neighborhoods that might fit the bill. Dated homes don't bother us (honestly I hate the pre-fab look of newer homes). We do however, care very much about safety....Thanks for any opinions, and yes- I know our wish list is not an easy one. We have two rowdy dogs that need room to run, and prefer a little space and privacy (mostly so the neighbors don't have to deal with all the barking!)

For that price you may not get a half acre lot, but look at the area south of Oleander, west of College Rd., north of Piner Road. Lots of nice neighborhoods in there.
