I have noticed that a few people exiting the new gate onto Midddleton are cutting the exit short when heading toward Oak Island. Rather than heading East and making the U-turn they are bypassing the curbs and proceeding straight across and then making the left towards OI.

Looking at the placement of the curbs you really have to go out of your way to make that illegal turn.

Maybe better signage is needed?

Or maybe, just maybe the drivers need better judgement.

Turning right, going 200 yards and making a U turn is safer. Just do it.
