My husband and I are now researching boating communities in Brunswick Country for retirement.

Googling the info - I have come up Devaun Park and Oyster Harbour - both look wonderful online.

Anyone familiar with these communities? . . . OR recommend OTHER similar communities in that area?

How do you define a "boating community"?

Hi BC1960 - and thank you for your help.

A community that has boat slips and/or boat storage - easy access to the intercoastal.

I can't comment on either of the developments you mention, but I'd really say all of Brunswick County is a boating community. There are marinas with slips and or storage in multiple locations:

South Harbour Village Marina in Southport, NC is the perfect stop if you are running the ICW or just looking for that ideal vacation spot.
