Greetings All,
My wife and I are in our early 60's and retiring this year.We live in Conn. We would like to relocate somewhere near the ocean that's not too crowded or too hot. Sunset Beach has been on our radar. It seems like a beautiful place. We plan on a visit this fall to take a look.
I'm wondering if there are others who have made this move and how it worked out. Would love to hear from those who live on the island as well as on the mainland.
Thanks.....

Don't be shy about taking advantage of Discovery packages when you visit.

As we get closer to pulling the trigger, we plan on taking advantage of these packages and combine them with visiting brother and nephew.

So your nephew lives ON Sunset Island, and the beach is within walking distance. To get to the beach from Calabash you have to go over the bridge ( or go by boat ) ? That could be a 15 min. drive or so in most cases i'm guessing?
