Hi all, this will be the first time for us at Sunset Beach. We will be going in Sept. Anyone have any good ideas on where to stay ? Hotel vs house rental ? Just my wife and myself going , and most of the houses have 4 bedrooms but some of them are less in price than some hotels.

We've stayed in a condo at Crow Creek. It is across 17 from the ocean but the facilities are pretty good and you do not have to rent from Sat. to Sat. as a lot of places stipulate.
Another good option is Sandpiper Bay right in Sunset Beach.

The condos provide linens and kitchens pretty well equipped. The place has a pool and the golf course is in great shape.
It is a nice compromise between a hotel and a house and provides the option of preparing your meals "at home".

Not too far a drive to Sunset Beach.

Not in SB but The Winds in OIB seems nice and it on the ocean. I would rather not have to drive to the beach.....still open for suggestions.
