I am vacationing in Kill Devil Hills and would like to head north the 30 miles or so via 21 to Corolla. We'd like to arrive up there around 10am on Sunday morning. I understand that traffic is very slow... especially through Duck. What time should I realistically leave? I don't believe Google's 59 minutes. Thanks!

Interesting. I have heard that the bridge going over has not been as bad as previous years but that the road up to Duck from Kill Devil Hills is horrible as always.

Here is a link to a Outer Banks Forum I frequent. I plan on coming down from Northern VA Friday July 21st early.
