The energy industry is inclusive of clean and renewable energy providers.
This thread is about drilling for oil off the coast of NC.

Then what is the point?

The dems do and say 1 thing when in control then when the they loose control, do NOT want the new party in charge to NOT do and say what they did.

THAT is called being a hypocrite.

The point is quit the name calling and playing the blame game and actually work together to improve the country.

And of course, here's the inconvenient reality:

"The split is more regional than partisan. Coastal Republicans fear the destruction of their tourist industries as much as seaside Democrats, while landlocked members of both parties envision new revenue for schools and highways."

And

"Representative Mark Sanford, a former South Carolina governor and a conservative Republican from Charleston, is fiercely critical of his state’s current Republican governor, Nikki R. Haley, for her support of the drilling."

And

"State Representative Rodney Moore, Democrat of Charlotte, saw things the way Ms. Haley does: “It’s a good thing if it can generate revenue for our state, if it can be done safely.”"
