We may be moving to the Greenville area but think we want to send our son to school in Kinston. What is the commute like from Kinston to Greenville on route 11 (e.g., too many lights? too many trucks on a 2 lane? OK leaving early in the AM? etc.)

Commuting from Greenville to Kinston in the morning wouldn't be bad - i'd say 30 minutes. Traffic generally flows into Greenville from the Kinston area in the morning, and traffic can get backed up on Hwy 11. A friend of mine used to make that commute from Kinston to Greenville and it took him 45 minutes on average.

hmmm...hwy 11 is 60 mph for most of the way b/w greenville and kinston. BUT the one thing i would add is that your commute time is going to differ based on where you live in greenville. if you're on the kinston side, you may make it to parrott in 35 minutes, but if you live on the washington side (far side), it will take you longer, especially in traffic... 45 minutes or longer.

i saw your other post, and i can't tell you anything about parrott, but if you want to pm me, i can tell you (almost) anything you want to know about kinston.
