We are moving to the Wilmington area next year and have 2 kids ages 4 and 8. We know that we want to join one of the Country Clubs in the area for the activities they provide (golf/tennis/swim team a must) but I am trying to find candid comparisons between Landfall and Cape Fear and am having trouble. I am more familiar with Landfall but know some people over at Cape Fear as well. It seems like Cape Fear may be more family friendly but Landfall may have more diversity (so I would think vibe would be less conservative?). I did have a situation while eating at Landfall where a diner came over to our table and basically called out my kids - literally the only other people in the restaurant and the kids were just laughing with their grandparents. That freaked me out a bit as to how child-friendly it may be. I like that Landfall is closer to the beach. We aren't sure what we are going to do school-wise. Seems like Landfall has better public schools but Cape Fear CC would make more sense if they went to Cape Fear Academy. All that being said - please volunteer any candid feedback in those 2 clubs (and even communities in general) and I would greatly appreciate it!!!!
