I prefer my Peanut Butter and Jelly with Creamy Peanut Butter, not Crunchy.....my point, it's all about taste.

I agree and crunchy would not be good in fettucini Alfredo either.

Its easy to find lots of recipes for making things different ways. Doesn't make it right or better. The fact remains, as proven, that the original, classic version of the dish contains no cream. But, hey, eat what YOU enjoy! Not everyone appreciates great food. Its ok.

I dunno .... butter and cream is ok by me and apparently lots of other non gourmet types that simply like food that tastes good.
