Also - doodlesvs - I know that Adopt an Angel - a legitimate rescue - has at least two puppies right now. In fact they are too young to be adopted out just yet. I saw them at the adoption event over the weekend and they are ADORABLE.

Check http://www.petfinders.com Best source out there. Unless you are interested in a specific breed, then there are usually legitimate rescue groups for that breed made up of people who love that breed.

Hi, I am new to this forum, I tried, 4 years ago, to adopt what I thought was a rescue puppy from Mustard Sandwich. I asked lots of questions with very vague answers. They are definitely a puppy broker, they buy puppies from Puppy Mills and then sell for a profit. I very sneakily got a number for a vet they supposedly used in the Carolina's. I was informed that the puppies were very dirty and flea infested upon examination. I also put a $100 deposit on a puppy. When I started to ask questions, a little bit of arguing with "Victoria" resulted - she refused to refund my deposit. I actually called the Myrtle Beach animal shelter (where Mustard Sandwich was supposedly located at that time). They knew nothing about the organization. A young worker at the shelter tried to check out the address and there was nobody there. She was told to drop it by her manager. Don't trust these people. They are bad. Well, now I think I have said enough.

They are puppy brokers, they get their dogs from mills and sell for profit, don't believe they are an adoption agency, they are not. Better to go to local shelter.

Guys, Gals lets refrain from complaining about this company.

In the terms of service it states
Quote:
This is not the right place for consumer complaints. Such posts present defamation issues and they don't give the other side the opportunity to present their side of the argument.
I have been avoiding this thread as I thought it was about mustard & hush puppies
Please avoid attacks on the company or staff.
